Tap Water Iontophoresis Device for Hyperhidrosis SweatStop® Iontophoresis is a direct current (DC) therapy device with pulsed and constant DC for tap water iontophoresis (TWI) used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). During this process, the nerves are exposed to weak electrical impulses, which calms them down and in turn reduces sweat production.
